Cast off, leaving a long tail.

For the tail, we need to knit a 4-stitches I-Cord at least 5 to 7 cm long.
In the resources section, you will find several techniques to make the I-Cord. For this project, you can use any of them.

Facing the wrong side. With the yarn tail from the cast-on, sew the first and the last stitches together of the cast-on edge. Weave all the stitches and pull tight to close the hole. With the same yarn sew the centre back of the cat, seam together both edges.
Turn it inside out and stuff the cat with toy filling.
Using a different yarn sew the top edge side to side.

Sew the tail in the bottom back. Curl the tail toward the front.

Work on the front of the knitted cat. Using different colours of yarn embroider the eyes and nose, add whiskers and any other details.
